Top three beauty must haves for your next getaway…

It’s that time of year, we’re all dreaming of sandy beaches, long days in the sun and a cheeky cocktail or four (there’s no judgement from me!). You may be considering some beauty treatments to see you through the summer period or for your next vacay, so keep reading to find out more about my top three beauty must haves for low maintenance beauty or for if you've had a recent beauty treatment, how to make those salon results last longer! 1. A firm favourite, Nouveau’s Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum. This product is great for natural lashes & brows, or if you’ve had a brow treatment such as a brow wax & tint or HD Brows and if you’ve had an LVL Lash treatment, lash extensions or lash tint. Have you ever wondered why men or your kids might have such beautiful long lashes? Because they do absolutely nothing with them. They haven’t had waterproof mascara scrubbed off their lashes or been curled everyday for the last how ever many years. So what can we do to help our lashes? Well just like our hair, we wouldn’t not condition it, can you imagine? So why would we not condition our lashes, that are there to protect our eyes all day, everyday.

How do I use it?

Rach’s Top Tip: Apply your serum before applying mascara, it really helps for a smooth application of mascara, avoiding any clumps and lashes sticking together!

2. Next up is HD Brows Brow Glue. This product is a make up product as opposed to beauty care. The Brow Glue made it into my top three because its the perfect addition to my little holiday make up bag for a low maintenance look. Because I don’t know about you, but this girl isn’t doing a full face of make up to sweat it off before she’s even made it to dinner. This Brow Glue is a long-lasting, ultra strong formula, allowing you to set the hairs into your desired position. So whether you prefer a sleeker or fluffier brow, this product is for you!

What are the benefits of using HD Brow’s Brow Glue?

• Sets hairs into place & lasts all day without moving
• No need to be mixed with water, just brush and go!

How do I use it?

Before applying brush any access product off into the tube and then use the spoolie to brush through the hairs in the direction you wish to the set the hairs. For that on trend fluffier look, brush the hairs upwards or for a sleeker, more natural look brush the hairs in the direction of hair growth.

Rach’s Top Tip: Once you’ve applied the brow glue leave for around 30 seconds before brushing through again. Allowing the product to set a little before final brushing, I find gives the best results, particularly when brushing your brows upwards!

3. Lastly, it had to be Naf! Pro CUTICLE OIL! If you know me, you’ll know I bang on about using cuticle oil all the damn time. Why? Because your nails need a little TLC, we honestly put them through so much. So, whether you’re a regular nail mani kind of gal or not, this product should be in your daily routine 365 days of the year. We love to have a range of beautiful scents available in the salon for our clients but also for our clients’ preferences, some prefer the twisty top pen from Naf! & some prefer the press top pen from the Nail Order. Both are incredible brands with a range of scents. The one on holiday here with me is the Limited Edition Cherish Dropper Bottle from Naf! (I think we may have ONE available for purchase in the salon). Usually I use the pens, but I do like a dropper bottle on my bedside table and on holiday.

What are the benefits of using cuticle oil?

• Daily use will help to maintain healthy & hydrated nails
• Daily use will help to make your gel mani last longer
• Smells delicious

What are the main ingredients? (Naf!)

• Coconut Oil: boosts the skin barrier & retain moisture
• Sunflower seed oil: reduce inflammation & soften skin
• Grape seed oil: hydrates skin & conditions the nail plate
• Avocado oil: Unique molecules penetrate the skin & nail plate to Improve strength, hydrate and prevent dry brittle nails
• Jojoba seed oil: improve strength and hydrate
• Vitamin E: repair skin & nails

This product is 100% vegan friendly.

How to use it:

Rub oil around cuticle area, side walls and under free edge, ideally at least 3 times daily.

Rach’s Top Tip: Three times a day can seem like a lot but it literally takes seconds! To successfully add cuticle oil to your daily routine, think of habit stacking. Add “oil your cuticles” to a habit you already have firmly in place. For example, when you brush your teeth, after you wash your hands, every time you sit down at your desk or when you’re waiting for the kettle to boil!

Well, there you have it, my top three beauty must haves for this summer, and really all year round! They are staple items of my everyday beauty routine, and always the first beauty products to get packed in the suitcase.
